It’s impossible to adequately describe how I felt as we continued south on the interstate. We smiled and laughed a lot, kept saying “Can you believe this is really happening?”

At the end of two days on the road we landed in Cocoa Beach. Captain Josh was opening for Jim Morris and the Big Bamboo Band at a big New Years Eve party. It was to be the perfect kick-start to our new life. We stayed the weekend in a hotel on the beach and all throughout our stay we ran into Facebook friends we’d never met in person. We also met lots of other folks that had come up from southwest Florida that would later become part of our circle of friends.

Speaking with Captain Josh and his wife for the first time, he told us how he was following a couple on Facebook who were moving to Florida to live on a boat. He said their names were Kim and Ed. We all had a big laugh when he realized that was us.
